These are some of the most prestigious places to do a radiology residency in the United States!

It is a somewhat vague subject and there is no authoritative list of the’ core’ residencies of radiology. Numerous factors include rating services (a major driver of resident demand and, consequently, the profitability of residential areas), NIH support, surgical and medical care quality, hospital rankings, the residency’s “name” and the allocation of fellowships.   Despite the confusion, a variety of outlets continue to be more or less in unison about one of the “top levels” of services.

While not flawless, auntminnie’s model is competing regularly for the highest spot in radiology.   The same programs tend to emerge year after year. After only having met and completed the cycle of balancing radiology (in an interview with around two thirds of the above programs), I may give my honest opinion that such systems are among the strongest and best teaching programs.

I assume the choices about radiology residency are based on professional preferences. The preparation is good with both the aforementioned services plus the ones out there.   This also refers to where you want to be, if you blend with the departmental personalities, and how you want to work throughout your stay.   “Perceived prestige,” though not a significant part, plays.
